Margot Kidder tanking the kid with alcohol
Did parents and adults have a more relaxed attitude back then to kids drinking? I have a cousin with a slightly older father born in the 1940's and remember my folks always complaining about them letting their daughter drink even while she was a baby, just scoffing at it. They were born in the 1950's themselves.
Or was it just Kidder's character getting her kicks from being a bad influence and doing the forbidden thing? Although one could think parents shouldn't have been that naive as to send their children away to a frat house, lol. I remember my parents being terrified of me being too near young adults who were college age, probably because they were afraid something like that would happen. 😂
