I haven't seen the sitcom in a long time, but I was watching the movie -- specifically, the scene where Alice keeps pulling their station wagon to the side of the road because Tommy thinks he'll throw up -- and it looked a lot like a brief snippet from the opening credits of "Alice." Am I right? Anyone else possibly make this connection?
shareYou are right. A small snipped of the movie made it's way into the opening credits of ALICE. Also, if you watch the pilot, right before the closing credits a credit comes up saying "Based on the film ALICE DOENS'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE"- when the regular run of the show started that credit was gone.
shareJust watching it now I had noticed that during this viewing. Also it seems like this version on TCM now has scenes I just don’t recall. Good ol’ TBI. I like a lot of 70’s movies. I can relate.
