Excellent and unknown 1973 Western film outside of Glenn Ford fans

One of Glenn Ford best westerns IMO and also one of the best films he had done later in his career. Great plot on this one as its basically about a bounty hunter befriending the son of a man he is forced to kill. I have known this film since childhood and seen it many times. I dont think I have ever come across anyone outside my immediate family thats ever seen it. I did manage to track down a DVD of it years ago. Not a film that TCM would broadcast when they had their Glenn Ford runs that Im aware of.

Great cast and acting. The ending to the film is also special but I dont want to spoil anything. Recommended if you are a fan of westerns or hollywood icons like Ford. Action wise I would say its more like 3:10 to Yuma. Its really about the relationship between the two main characters along with Fords wife who also befriends the orphaned son. Very well done film all around.
