Wow! There seems to be a lot of hate for Jet Jaguar on the net. I think that he is one of the best parts of this movie.
Okay, so the little kid's voice in the dub is ANNOYING, but his robot buddy is cool as hell!

I saw this movie in the theatres. JJ is my favorite character in the Godzilla series of movies. I never understood why he never appeared in another Godzilla movie. I hope if new Godzilla videos games are made for the next gen systems, JJ will be one of the playable characters.

He'a a bit ill-inspired admittingly, but you woudln't be so harsh on him when you know he's the invention of a child.
sharePersonally I think he is one of the lamest designs in all the G-Movies back then and now.
On the contrary I like Megalon very much since I saw him in a trailer as a kid.
He just had bad luck in appearing in arguably the worst G-movie.
His design beats Gigan's imo.
He would also be a good contender for a badass update in any future flick.
He got all the protagonism in a movie with GODZILLA's name on the title. People felt ripped-off.

Most Godzilla films have just human protagonists running around dubbed REALLY BADLY for 90 minutes while Monsters only appear sporadically until some big final battle. At least this one had a colorful robot to watch until Godzilla showed up!

I liked Jet Jaguar, but I agree the kid was pretty annoying.

He's kind of lame, he's really getting his ass handed to him until Godzilla shows up to do the famous double footed drop kick supported only by his tail.
