Can anybody think up of some more films that closely resemble Don't Look Now? I don't particularly mean horrors so much as I don't think Don't Look Now is a horror. Film's like Solaris (1972) Does that film resemble Don't Look Now? What other films are there??? I'm thinking of films which match in story, photography, cuts, colour, acting, music etc.
If its a foreign film the better.
Two others films that I'd recommend that are big "figure-it-out" mysteries are Spirit of the Beehive and Swimming Pool. Both are foreign films as well.
Spirit of the Beehive is in Spanish and was made in 1973 also I believe.
Swimming Pool is in French and was made in 2003.
I highly recommend both movies. Of course there is Picnic at Hanging Rock also, but I see that one was already mentioned...I would definitely second it though.
I'm not sure is anyone else has suggested Von Trier's Antichrist, but I feel that he was strongly influenced by Don't Look Now.
