I strongly disliked it at first, but then I was pulled into its world. I like it now.


I think plot and narrative are secondary to the mood it creates. Orson Welles must have been heavily influenced by the art films during his time in Europe.

It’s getting quite a bit of backlash from audience reviews. I imagine that a lot of them find it pretentious and overindulgent. But in fairness, you can almost interpret the film as a satire on art films.

I enjoyed it, for what it is. A flawed masterpiece of sorts.

Yea I watched the documentary on the day before that I watched the actual film.

I could listen to Orson Welles talk all day.
