This is by far the worst I've ever seen

End of the story. Maybe in the 70s you fell in love with this movie because it was kind of "different". But let's face the truth. Today maybe historians may find this "interesting", nobody else.

Horror back in the 70s was different from the horror of today....back in the 60s and into the 70's, movies like this one were actually given an X rating....if you had seen this movie back when it came out, it would repulse you....same thing with I Spit On Your Grave......watching these 2 films now, you can see how hokey they are but back in the day, they were horrifying....

I don't think it's a bad movie. Sure, it's a bit dated but no movie is going to look brand new after 45 years. I think the cast of characters are very interesting and it's heartbreaking to realize crimes like this happen all the time. The film did a good job at showing us how evil people can be and how ugly violence is. It also raises the question of whether or not revenge is worth it. What I got from the ending of the movie is that the parents didn't feel any better after stooping to the level of the killers. So there are very interesting points it raises.

I do think it's a pretty good movie overall and one I have watched many times.
