Shock suits

I like looking up some of the terms they use in the show while watching. A few times with patients with apparent significant blood loss they would use “shock suits” which were basically inflatable trousers to move the patient’s blood from the legs to the vital organs. Apparently in the 1980s research indicated that these were not really effective and fell out of favor.
