did anyone else laugh when she started screaming...

DANDY! DANDY! DANDY!

or when she was crying hysterically in the gypsy's trailer, and the jack's mother slapped her (HARD!), then said, "there, there. its better to cry and let it alllll out". LOL!

reply

Not really, I was mostly terrified for her.

"Psychos do not explode when sun light hits them, I don't give a *beep* how crazy they are!"

reply

You laugh quite a bit, don't you?

reply

I almost die of laughter when it discovers the body of the uncle in the bathroom. The expression of the ugly face of Mia Farrow when she came out is really hilarious.

reply

A person of Mia Farrow's talent doesn't need to depend on looks. You seem to have a really cruel nature. That's sad.

reply

Mia was never a traditional beauty (whatever that means), but her looks are ethereal. I find people who dismiss rare beauties such as Mia boring.

"Psychos do not explode when sun light hits them, I don't give a *beep* how crazy they are!"

reply

Well said Creek Girl. I agree with everything you said. Couldn't have put it better myself!

reply

Thanks! :)

"Psychos do not explode when sun light hits them, I don't give a *beep* how crazy they are!"

reply

only an ass would laugh.

reply

I had never seen the film until Turner Classic Movies aired it at 3:00am this morning.
I felt Mia was fantastic in the film, I was truly afraid for her during most of the film.
I did not find her screaming funny, I think you would have to be rather sick to laugh at a blind woman in terror.

reply

Ditto here, and also creek girl can consider herself thirded.

reply

sorry duked, but i am sitting here laughing as i picture an ass laughing. LOL...

Swing away, Merrill....Merrill, swing away...

reply

So, you find an utterly terrified blind girl hilarious, eh? You're a vicious pig and I can only hope that you have no contact with small children.

I've never been a big fan of hers, but I thought she was gorgeous in this. And did a great job.

reply

People who are negative about other people's looks are either jealous or are more likely, insecure about their own looks.

reply

When she slapped her, I almost spit our my drink. That was such an odd scene.

reply

Really? So, you've never seen....in any film you've ever watched....a scene in which someone was slapped in order to bring them out of either shock or hysterics??? Are you freaking kidding? Are you cinematically deprived or just a clinical moron?

reply

well that wasn't a very nice thing to say at all.

reply

I'm late to the table....

It may not have been a very nice thing to say at all BUT....
Look at what is going on in this film. Look at what the poor girl had been through. She finds out that her family is dead. She finds this out in such a horrific way. She needed that slap in the face in order to snap her out of whatever she was going through... she obviously wasn't talking.

I'm not sure about you or the OP but I never found the situation that the girl was in to be funny. When I watch a film like this I pretty much try to put myself in the character's shoes. I think it would be terrifying!
Nothing to laugh about.....

"Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night"

reply

That slap across the face was funny, I'll admit.
