I'd say that final scene with the kid kept it off - especially once the VHS was released. Wonderful shots of New York at the time, for sure!
shareThe OP doesn't know shit. This was on tv plenty of times. Went straight to late night viewing. NOT because of its content (which was heavily edited) but because NOBODY LIKED IT. Too weird and Shirley was at the height of her bizarre multi-lives crap, which didn't help.
I remember it being on USA and A&E during the 80's and 90's plenty of times.
