It takes several minutes to get to the movie's introduction techno-music and hauntingly fetching wordless vocal by Italian? singer GIULIA. There's something about a lovely woman's haunting singing without words that raises the goosebumps on me.
The only problem is that the movie's master is deteriorated and it shows (sounds) on the dvd, despite the digital remastering.
I'd like to see GIULIA re-record this vocal and do it for a full 3 minute production.
Just for completion: Giulia is actually Giulia Alessandroni, (I believe) the sister of Alessandro, who is the composer of the soundtrack and long-time collaborator of Ennio Morricone.
You'll remember him as the (phenomenal) whistler and guitar player on many Ennio's scores starting from Leone's westerns; not that the maestro's footprints are hard to recognize on this film, either!
Your wish has been granted long time ago: I don't think the whole soundtrack has ever been released but the main title sequence can be heard on "Women in lounge" and probably other retro-soundtracks collections.
Yes, it was released as a limited edition which a friend of mine found and sent me a copy. The soundtrack is amazing and even includes the lesbian love sounds seen on film. I didn't expect that was part of the music.
When I watched this last night I knew the music sounded familar, it hit me about 10 minutes after the film finished. The notes are almost identical to The Fog (1980).
