It was extremely risque. My mother hated censorship and took us to the drive-in movie with my brother and I in the trunk so we could see it. They wouldnt allow kids in to see this movie. I remember being shocked by the nudity. However, it was one of my favorite movies of all time as it appealed to the imagination of a young girl with "ideas" of love. I would love to buy this and see it again to see what my reaction would be now I'm 46.
shareSuddenly this film just popped in my head and I wanted to look it up. I was 12 when I saw it--we were living in Mexico for a while and I saw it in a theater there and loved it. I thought it was a beautiful film then and would love to see it now! It's always interesting to see movies one saw as a child then as an adult--I also saw Ryan's daughter at that age and rented it recently. My sister had to explain certain things to me back then!
What I recall is the young girl being nude and I think the boy, too--which was I guess pretty exciting to me! I also believe it was beautifully filmed if I'm not mistaken.
Me too! Never have forgotten it and remember it when I see something similar. I liked it then so I'm going to have to watch it again soon.
