Recovering Taylor's Ship?

So Apes that haven't even discovered flight or electricity yet manage to recover a spaceship from an inland sea, repair it, make it operational, and fly it to an alien planet?. Needless to say there are some gigantic plot holes in this attempt.

Who said they hadn't discovered electricity?

I saw no evidence of light bulbs or other electrical devices in either the first or second films. Their technology seems to be a mishmash, on one hand they live in stone houses and ride horses yet have semi automatic weapons and fairly good medical skills. But that doesn't say a lot, the ancient Romans had advanced medical even surgical procedures as well.

Nor are any candles, oil lamps or torches seen, yet all the rooms are well lit even at night.

True. And they have high pressure water hoses and photography too. Their level of technology seems to be equivalent with the mid to late 19th century.

reply

I don't think they could manufacture semi-automatic weapons without electricity, could they?

reply

Its hard to know because some of their technology seems quite advanced where other parts are quite primitive. Thats why i have big trouble believing that they could suddenly become a space faring species virtually overnight. Heck in the first film they didn't even know how to fly, yet now only a short time later they can fly star ships, thats more that a little stretch.

reply

As for repairing Taylor's ship, that was the result of one genius chimpanzee, Dr. Milo, who probably had the ship's many technical manuals at his disposal.

I find it very hard to swallow that apes that didn't even understand the concept of flight and rode about on horses could suddenly be repairing, flying and navigating advanced starship withing a few months. How did they even get it powered up without electricity?, how did they fuel it without any kind of rocket fuel technology? how did they learn the massive amount of information and skill required to pilot and navigate a starship in just a few months. the list goes an and on. Its simply not possible i'm sorry.

Only not possible to those who lack imagination.

If Dr. Milo were half the genius of Einstein, he'd manage it.

Guns are wireless and don't need electricity

reply

Its not a plot hole. Milo brought the ship out of the water, fixed it, then flew it. I see no problem with this whatsoever
