Gretchin...

I have loved this film for decades, and I still watch it once or twice per year.

The costumes, the girls, the music, the girls, the excitement, the girls, the Gothic feel....and...did I mention The Girls?

There is no denying that Ingrid was gorgeous. So was Madeline. Likewise, Pippa. Even Kate O'Mara had something....

But each time I re-watch it, I am absolutely smitten with Janet Key, who played Gretchin, the maid. What a doll!!!

She was also in "Dracula AD 1972" a couple of years later, and while she doesn't get disrobed like most of the others, to my mind, she steals every scene she is in!

Now, if I could just have my own chamber maid........I KNOW whom I would chose....

Thanks, John...

Janet, and Ingrid, and all the others....they live again, whenever we put their movies on to re-watch....

Thanks for giving Janet Key (Gretchin) some lovin'.

But don't forget about:

Kirsten Lindholm (the blonde vampire in the opening and also shown later), Olga James (the village girl) and Joanna Shelley (the woodsman's daughter).
