A bad movie

Sorry at those who admire, but I consider Macho Callahan a very bad movie. It was a clear attempt to import the vision of Sergio Leone and even bring to America the climate italian westerns, only this. Did not bring innovation and added nothing, however, is a completely useless film. The only thing that saved it was the beauty of Jean Seberg.

I totally disagree. The love and compassion that ultimately surface separates "Macho Callahan" from one-dimensional and juvenile Spaghetti Westerns. It features fleshed out characters as opposed to eye-rolling caricatures, which Italo Wasterns are known for. As such, it's puzzling to hear critics lambaste "Macho Callahan" as 'strictly for sadists' and 'revolting.' It's more in the mold of the American Western "Bandolero!" (1968).
