I am sick of the media making Meridith Hunter out as an innocent

They make it sound like he did nothing wrong he was going around saying he was gonna kill Mick and had a gun.The Angels who yes are not the most racially sensitive or civilized took care of a problem the way they knew.

reply

Despite the violent behaviour of the Angels that day, I think its fair to say that Hunter would not have been killed if he hadn't pulled a gun on them. I too for years have read that it was a racially motivated killing when in truth if Hunter was white he would have been killed for acting so foolishly.

***The only programme I'm likely to get on is the ------- news!***

reply

I'll take it one step further if he had been white he would've gotten killed worse. The Angels back then were bad dudes Hunter S Thompson barely got out alive researching them.

reply

That black pimp in the green suit was gonna kill Mick? Why? I thought he had some drug beef in the crowd and the racist angels stabbed him to death?..

reply

Hunter pulled the gun in a fight with the Angels. There is no evidence he intended to shoot Jagger.

reply

Agree, a pimp wouldn't waste his precious time trying to exploit women for money by killing Mick, what would be the motive... If so he was the sharpest sociopath dresser I've seen.

reply

No evidence that Hunter was a pimp;many people dressed in that flashy style in the Sixties.

reply

Also true, I just meant he's no psycho killer, many men had pistols on them too.

reply

You keep calling the Angels racist. Where is that coming from? What's your evidence?

reply

It's widely known fact they are racist.. How do I know because I've chatted with some over some deals years ago.. How many of their high members are not white? None.. They use minorities as errand/fall boys if anything at all.
Could I call the mob racist too? ..Well yup!

reply

Actually, Badlands1, I saw something on the internet recently about the Hell's Angels. While it's true that they never used to accept non-whites, especially Blacks and Hispanics, I saw at least a couple of husky-looking African-American guys among them, wearing Hell's Angels Jackets and the wings. That being said, I think that the Hell's Angels' non-acceptance of guys who are non-white may be starting to change somewhat.

reply

True.
