The Theme Music

I loved the music at the open credits. Too bad the movie was too Europeanish, overwise it might be considered to be as good as the Mechanic.

What do you meant I love the European style of film. Well any way the music is awesome and yeah they have an extended version of the soundtrack at www.moviegrooves.com, saddly I only own the shot version but it's still a great soundtrack :)

reply

Is this extended version of Violent City's soundtrack out of print now? I've searched for it on moviegrooves.com and couldn't find it on there.

reply

I agree. Morricone supplied a perfectly robust and pulsating score for this nifty and underrated Italian crime thriller.

"We're all part Shatner/And part James Dean/Part Warren Oates/And Steven McQueen"

reply

yeah i think it's one of my fave morricone scores.

reply

The soundtrack is pretty good actually. As most scores Morricone has made.

This film is a classic as far as I'm concerned. But, I will say that Morricone's remarkable score (which I already was familiar with before having seen the film) can survive without the film.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

reply

Yeah I liked the music too.
