Where to get it in German?

So I know that is film was dubbed into English from German. Does anyone know where I might find it in German? I already looked on Amazon.de and it wasn't there.

you checked amazon.de? Dude, you must be joking. Didn't you ever hear about the harsh censorship-policy the german government likes so much? there's is hardly any chance to get uncut horror-movies. "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (original) is a good example: even a classic like that is illegal in germany - that means that its prohibited to own that movie no matter how old you are. And with exploitation films like this it's even worse.
I grew up in Germany and the only thing I can say about this is:
Hail the internet and bootlegs from the netherlands! hehe...
I hope you now understand why I think that it's kinda funny that you checked amazon.de ;)

To be serious: I think there is a DVD-Release in Austria by XT-Video that is supossedly uncut. Tell me if you got it... :)

I am not sure but according to BPJM.com only the DVD and VHS is banned. So if you can guarantee that only persons 18 and older are in the audience you can probably show the movie in a cinema.

@zombie-jesus:

actually a censored movie is not impossible to get! You are still allowed to own a copy of it and you even can buy a copy, BUT: It is not allowed to make a commercial for that movie which is made public or it is not allowed to write a review about it, as children and teenagers under 18 could get in touch with that movie. If you want to buy that movie you have to go to a movie store and ask someone if they were able to order that movie for you. If they want to and if there are still some copys available you have to show your ID and get it afterwards. Really forbidden are only propaganda videos or movies/books/whatever with racism in it.

Actually it appears that the movie was filmed with the actors mouthing or speaking in phonetic English, rather than German.

Here's what I posted in another thread on this board:

'I believe the IMDB information is incorrect. In addition to what I can plainly observe with my own eyes, I've found other mentions on the web that the actors spoke English which was overdubbed with new voices. For instance: 'The English- German production has been dubbed for American audiences, even though the actors spoke phonetic English.' from http://www.lightviews.com/markofthedevil.htm .

'Or this, from http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=13111 : 'Despite the German-Austrian cast, the show appears to have mostly been shot silent with actors speaking English. The mono English audio track features Lom's real voice, but apparently no one else; Kier and Nadler, both of whom have frequently appeared in English language productions, are dubbed by other actors. No German track is offered, and there are no subtitles.'

'This should be corrected.'

It's easy to get the Austrian DVD (which is fully uncut and has the original German as well as the English Soundtrack) in many Austrian (= German Language) Online Shops but as I suppose you need an English one:

Bit of an old post here, but thought I may as well chip in. Arrow Video has just re-released it on DVD and Blu Ray, with a re-mastered German soundtrack. Just in case you're still out there!
