Chickens and the truck going in a circle- Thoughts?

Herzog later used the two in his Strozek (sp?). Does anyone have any insight into any possible meaning of this? Especially the truck going in circles. I think I've only seen it twice in movies. Both are Herzog films.

Has anyone out there studied his films who might have some insight? Danke.
