Disgraceful propaganda glofying racism murder rape etc

George Kennedy portrays Defeated Sherriff Little whi is defeated by Sherriff Price [Jim Brown] Both men are basicaly decent men but woefully and disgracefully inco, petent law enforcement officials who would do better as night watchmen at an amusement park.
both men does in a dreadfully lack a daisical manner with murder and rape. Jim Brown however arrestsw , but subsequently panders an d molly coddles 2 criminals one d runk driver/murderer and the other a rapist, yet says "I oughtta put you 2 in the smae jail cell and let you kill each other". O boy if they had shown that IN GRAPHIC DETAIL this would have easily been the greatest movie ever.
price eventually hires little as deputy and at least some sort of justice all be it very weak and still vewry incompetent comes to colusa county. a terrible film. a disgrace. a glorification of racism drunkeness murder rape and the like

1/2 * out of a possible 5.

Glorification of murder and rape?!? I seem to remember that in the movie even the klan-members in town came to help and stop people from freeing this low-down murderer, where was this glorification you are talking about? Man, you have a chip on your shoulder the size of Texas.

I agree with Renaldo. You can't even spell correctly so how can you knock down a really good movie that shows how it really was. i am not black, but i remember the 60's and it was bad. The only bad thing about this movie was that the music wasn't coordinated better with the scenes. I did enjoy the music also as i am personally familiar with the singers and writers. This is an excellent movie, worth watching several times.

Great little film, I didn't know it was based on fact and prompted me to find out more about Lucius Amerson. What a brave man.

Do you think it inspired Blazing Saddles?

PS you are right the music just was not synchronised with the film, almost ruined it.

Where did you read that the film is based on fact?

The pronoun ' I ' should always be capitalized.

Says it all. Total wack job goofball.

Welcome to the real world, these items you brought to my attention here actually sickened and infuriated me. They are the worst and exist. The movie actually was very good and showed these things were wrong.

A. You can't write.
B. You can't interpret what you see.

Enough said.

That reminds me of a situation on one of my first jobs after the army.(1969)
One of the other clerks was from one of the Virginia(s) anyway he kept complaining about how much better things were for blacks here in NYC.
Stupid remarks like "why don't they stay on their own side" (?) etc
You know I don't understand what makes these jerks think everyone agrees with them.
True at first I didn't say much, but one day there was this very lovely bi Racial girl who worked in the office next door, he made some remark about her GREEN nylons (which BTW many girls white & Black were wearing) so at last I put him in his place. "What makes you jerks think everyone agrees with you?"

Happy ending I dated that fine lady for a while.

You didn't watch the film did you?

They showed that when the Blacks got the vote they were able to influence things for change, it showed that Price as Sherriff was fair brining in one of "his own" for rape as well as not fearing the "white" retaliation for arresting a white boy who's father was "somebody". It gave a hopeful outcome for racial tensions of the times, and for it's tier.e it was a very forward thinking film. I don't know what film you were watching but it wasn't this one.

reply

It's just another internet crank making shit up about a movie he didn't watch.
