There's gong to be a remake

I found out on Wikipedia that a remake of "The Phantom Tollbooth" is in the midst of being worked on. The director will be Gary Ross who also directed "Pleasantville". The first draft of the script is being written by a certain Alex Tse. What do you think of that?

As long as they stick to the book (and try not have too much CGI), I think it should work.

Me too. I thought the story was interesting, but the style of the original always made me uncomfortable, even as a kid. A remake might put a fresh face on it if it's done right.

there is an animated version of The Phantom Tollbooth. it came out in 1970
