That according to Butch Patricks Birthday (on IMDB) He was 17 when this movie was made , I have to differ because He did NOT LOOK LIKE A kid that was 17 y/o, A nice looking kid But could not be 17.

Yeah, good question. Maybe the movie was filmed earlier, and just wasn't *released* until 1970? That's the most plausible explanation I can think of. I hardly think he was 17 when he was in that movie...

shareWell, this is true. But looking at Judy Garland in that film, she definitely looked older than 12. I have no problem believing that she was 17 when that movie was made. But when I look at Butch Patrick in this film, he definitely does not look 17. I'd say he looks about 13 or 14...15 at the oldest.
But then again, I haven't seen this movie in years, and maybe I'm not remembering it exactly right.
I dunno. Look at William Moseley who played Peter in Chronicles of Narnia. The whole movie I kept thinking he was about 14 or 15. Turns out he was 17. They can do a lot to an actor/actress to make them look younger than they are.

I refuse to believe he was 17. In the movie when you see just his face he looks about 8, but when you see how tall he is I guess he looks maybe 11 or 12 at the oldest. I actually was going to post this if it wasn't here already, because I am floored at the fact that he was 17 in this movie...

shareI believe it. Even if he wasn't 17 during the filming, he didn't sound a like a pre-teen kid at all. I just finished watching this movie. (I had it playing while I sorted laundry.) When he gave his first line, I came in to look. He may look young, but he didn't sound like a little boy.

Supposedly it was filmed in 1968 and shelved for two years. That would still make him 14-15 years old at the time. I'm no Butch Patrick expert, but the thing to do would be to see some of the other films and episodes of TV shows he did around the time and see if he looks the same. If anyone's seen My Three Sons episodes where he played Gordon Dearing, those would have been roughly the same time.
