"It's the price we pay for belonging to a race that wasn't always human"

What a wonderful, superbly shot, mostly forgotten film.

From the incredible title and opening sequence, featuring split-screen, several different aspect ratio and inventive cinematography, to the very Hitchcockian plot and characters (Psycho's Joseph Stefano wrote the screenplay and Edith head did the costumes...) this is a treat from start to finish.

Even if some of the plot twists will be fairly obvious to a modern audience paying a modicum of attention (now I'd be quite the cynic if I added "not a given!"), the relationship between all four of the main characters are so wonderfully ambiguous and fascinating.

This is the good stuff.
