WHAT IN JUPITER'S BALLS DID.......

I just finish watching just now??? Talk about an overlong, over dramatic, big pile of masturbation of a bore fest. Now I like a slow burn of a movie as the next guy, but seriously, every scene had to be 25 minutes long? Even a simple drink of water was like 15 minutes of screen time.
I can see painfully sitting through this once but multiple viewings??? Some of you either have the life on a snail or you're just masochists and like inflicting pain on yourselves.

Sounds like you were in a hurry to get to the next Trump rally.

Is that your final answer?

How many answers do I need in order to win the grand prize?

reply

I just expected some sort of semi intelligent reply debating why you think I'm wrong

reply

I think we both know you're wrong. You're going after one of the great westerns of all time and expecting one of us to get all bent out of shape. There are no fanboys here, just a lot of the film's admirers.

ditto

You, Sir, are a hero.

reply

The answer seems apt to me.

No need to bring politics into this. Once Upon a Time in the West is no doubt the best western film in every way. For that matter even people who dislike westerns should see. It is perfect.

reply

Sorry but it pales in comparison to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

reply

I know, and shut up about Trump you twit!

reply

LMAO. Not quite that bad, but yeah, it's certainly drawn out.

Sig, you want a sig, here's a SIG-sauer!

reply

Maybe you can see the next "Ninja Turtles" movie.

reply

No, I agree with you. I like movies and I'm going through all the IMDB top 250. This movie, I don't get at all. I can appreciate the cinematography, but each scene lasts 7 minutes, when they could be fully told in 1. But apparently the extremely slow paced style is appreciated by many, and I can only accept that. I started to fast-forward throughout the second half of the film.

reply

Yeah we get it. You want action from beginning to end like the new Star Wars crap.

reply

Never saw Star Wars and I have no interest whatsoever. I like slow movies, I love the Good Shepard. So it's not the slow burn that bothers me.

reply

I find your post insulting. The way you put it sounds like someone wanting to troll. I played OUATIW to my wife, she was 22, and it became her favourite film ever. The way it's done, the passion put into everything and the beautiful characters are just some of the good points about it. Add the insanely haunting music by Morricone and you end up with a true masterpiece of cinema. There are no movies like this. And your complains about pacing… It's called style, my friend. Leone did what few people accomplish: to say everything without a word. It was all about tension, you stare deep at the eyes of the character and you feel what they're feeling.

But again… It's your taste, just please don't insult the film. That's just plain dumb.

And so is your existence

It's my opinion on the film

reply
