In fact I love this show way better. Much more realistic and every problem is solved in a logical way.
Please bring this show to t.v land.
I liked it better than the other shows but the way TVLAND is now, doubt they're ever pick it up.

I have the 2 DVD sets so I can watch it anytime I want. I agree I prefer this show to the Huxtable version.
shareLucky you! My top 3 favorite shows are: Dick Van Dyke as the magician, Don Knotts as the TV repo guy, and when Bill tries takes the kids on the camping trip, but they never manage to go, and end up camping at his apartment.

shareI agree. I haven't seen this show on TV in years, but it was much better than Cosby's later series. Most people don't even know Cosby did another series in between I Spy and The Cosby Show, but like you say it's much more realistic and just more entertaining. I've never understood the popularity of The Cosby Show though. It's just a black version of The Brady Bunch with perfect parents and perfect kids who have minor problems now and then. I'll take The Bill Cosby Show over The Cosby Show any day.

The Bill Cosby Show despite only being on for a couple of seasons was much better than the white bread boredom of The Cosby Show. I almost expect to hear one of the daughters yammer "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia" on The Cosby Show though. Nothing weird about honesty.

I can't even stomach "The Cosby Show". I hate it! I've seen shows like Seinfeld and Modern Family and say aren't they just stealing from this show. It was so far ahead of its time.
The quality of mercy is not strained.
This show was extremely well written, it's been awhile since I got into a show enough to binge watch. But I'm almost done with season 1 in just a couple of days. Chet Kinkaid was a cool cat.
