Yep I'm sitting here watching it on TCM and I thought the same thing. It's not to bad of a movie considering when it was made. And the gang doing the robbery is ruthless. They aren't Oceans 11.

The movie was beginning to bore me until the hilarious RV heist. Even better when they stop it with a single shot to the tire and set it on fire, tearing through what seems to be a flamable tin can armor. And where is this California-Nevada highway? Looks like the same Spanish desert that The Good The Bad and The Ugly was made.

I remember it looking so stupid.
