For the heck of it I checked out just how bad the 68 Oscars were

Cliff Robertson over Peter O'Toole --- O'Toole craps better than Robertson acts

Hepburn having to share and Oscar with anyone much less Streisand

Albertson was the best of the bunch

as was Ruth Gordon

Best Pic & Director going to Oliver??? Naaa BOTH got to "the Lion In Winter"

SOOO in conclusion --- were mistakes made?? Some--- But I don't think Mia or Roman would have won

2001: A Space Odyssey wasn't even NOMINATED for Best Picture that year. Incredible.

1968 was one of the greatest years for films ever, though you wouldn't know it from most of the winners at the Oscars.
