Rosemary's Breast Milk...

OK sorry if this is a dumb question but towards the end of the movie Rosemary is giving Laura Louise her breast milk, now I realize why Laura Louise would want it but why would Rosemary give it to her? At that point in the film she thought the baby was dead.
