I saw this movie once in the late 80's on TV, was the young couple on her honeymoon when Alain's character jumps through her window, strips off his clothes and has sex with the wife? I'm like OMG, isn't that like borderline rape since she didn't know the guy. Poor husband, he was sweet. Her dad did warn the husband about giving her the motorcycle,I think her dad knew she had a wild side.

shareThey didn't care that much in those days. Different moral values. Times have changed a lot and the temperament of northern European people is more Latin.
Although in the book, there was a typical adolescent holiday vibe to that situation - each person was in a different hotel room, and they surreptitiously knocked or expected a knock on each others' doors.
