The middle finger?

I was always curious as to what the meaning of that scene was when Dr. Krankheit (sp?) raised his bloody middle finger in the air after he finished operating on a patient. Anyone have an idea?

Well, that's almost a sentence. Keep trying. (in the meantime you and President Bosch can keep wondering what the middle fingers means ...hahahahaa)

Okay, perhaps I should rephrase my OP.

I know what the middle finger means. What I meant to ask was, why did he flip everyone off?

because, like a similar CRAP film of the 1960s (The Magic Christian) the filmmakers thought they were being shocking and funny ("hee hee , let's give the audience the bloody finger! NO ONE's ever done THAT before!!")...all they were being was boring and dated..plus the films are very sloppy and poorly written and directed

I thought it was obvious that President_Bosch (the OP) knew what the middle finger meant, he was just wondering what was the point of the scene since -- as you point out -- it wasn't even remotely shocking or funny; it was just curious. In any case, you nailed it (the answer).
