If they remake this, who would you pick to play Susy?

If they remade this, and you were in charge of casting, who would you pick to play the Audrey Hepburn role of Susy Hendrix?

My pick would be either Famke Janssen, Vera Farmiga, Natalie Portman, or Milla Jovovich.

Keira knightly for sure , i always think of her as the new Audery Hepburn ..

I myself have thought about this many times.
Being as that I thought the film was kind of a letdown. Don't get me wrong. I love Audrey and Alan Arkins portrayal of Roat was amazing i thought the film was laking.
The trick is not to try and replace Audrey, don't think of it like that. Instead of approaching the casting of this film as "Gee who should fill Audreys shoes?" approach it as "Who would be a good Susy?" instead. With that being said, I dont know who I would pick!
Out of your selection Natalie Portman would be the only one I would think could play this role, in my opinion.
But other than I'm not sure. This definitely is a film i think deserves a remake. And definitely a re-write before the go into production.

I assume you mean a current remake, which means we have to choose an actress as she looks today, i.e. no actresses from the 30's, 50's, 80's, etc. If so, my choices would be Wanda Sykes, Patricia Routledge (Keeping Up Appearances), Sandra Bernhard, Bette Midler, Sofia Vergara, Maggie Smith (DOwntown Abbey), Gabourey Sidibe or Rosie Perez. I think they'll add an urban authenticity to the role (as opposed to Audrey Hepburn's aristocratic prissiness, which seems out of place).

Definitely Natalie Portman . She is the new Audrey Hepburn: classy brunette, natural beauty, feminine, and bright!

The others names you mentioned are way too old already .. They're growing collagen!

If they remake this, they will add lots of sex scenes, more intense and silly escape the bad guys.

Naomi Watts.

Image is the whole thing, so you couldn't have any actresses associated with action roles, cutting off Angelina Jolie, Milla Jovovich, Famke Janssen, Halle Berry and a few others.

Also, no women associated with being strong on TV or in movies, cutting out the likes of Kerry Washington.

With that in mind, I would nominate Jennifer Love Hewitt, Zoe Saldana or Jennifer Aniston.

It does bring up the interesting question of who would fill the other roles. I think one of the bad guys needs to be a woman. Angelina Jolie would be the perfect leader of the new trio of evil. I'd also consider Charlie Sheen, Owen Wilson, Jonah Hill (in the Jack Weston role) and Harold Perrineau. Maybe Patricia Velasquez or Michelle Rodriguez.

Susy's husband could only be played by a younger version of William H. Macy.

Are you remaking it into a comedy?
