the most shocking thing i've seen in a film

audrey hepburn saying bastard, its just so wrong, audrey doesn't use that kind of language!

reply

Apparently she does! I'll let audrey slide because "Mark" kind of deserved it (I'm not saying joanna was a complete angel).

This is an interesting topic. While we're on audrey cursing, I think she came a long way in this film from her "golly, gee, damn" in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Oh, and remember: "Come on, dover. Move your bloomin' ass!" in My Fair Lady?

I pretty much laid out audrey's entire cursing history with few exceptions. That was fun.

I love audrey.

reply

she's human. she curses. read the book "how to be lovely" written on her.

reply

I'd let Audrey Hepburn call me a bastard all the time...

A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages.

reply

How can you bitch about it?? She says "bastard" I hear "I love you".

Frankly, I've never heard it said so amorously before... LOL

reply

Nicely put. I've always thought that last "Bitch/Bastard" line was a lovely touch to the end of the film.

reply

If you watch the outtakes for Robin and Marian (1976), she calls Sean Connery a felching sack of suppurating quimbatter.

PUNK IS NOT DED

Loved the last lines :P

The Bride: Where's Bill?

Juno MacGuff: I'm pregnant

reply

I thought Joanna was *too* saintly. This occasional low talk humanized her a bit.

reply

Wasn't it Shirley MacLaine who said, "Audrey taught me how to dress. I taught her how to curse."

reply

When I first heard her say it. I spewed my milk all over the computer screen. Then laughed my head off. Then I realized it was 3:00 in the morning. Then I realized how I was never going to find a suitable suitor. Then I cried myself to sleep.

But yes, it was very unexpected and hilarious.

"I'm going crazy. I'm standing here solidly on my own two hands and going crazy."

reply

LOL

yah it was awesome
