Bedroom eyes!

Not a huge fan of the ten year old girl giving him bedroom eyes at the end of the film. Never noticed it as a kid but I guess sexualizing little girls was necessary to move the plot along. Yeah yeah, I know, I'm making a big deal out of nothing.

Assuming this is a serious thread, yes you are making a big deal of nothing.

It was nothing more than a look of love and fondness, it wasn't sexualized at all. It was a nice innocent crush, nothing more than that - it was meant to be cute and romantic, not sexual.

I have never seen a child blink that slow and then half open their eyes ... Just saying.

That was probably the best way they could think to show the crush; for her to have a "day dreaming" look in her eyes (which, I think is what it was, but I rewatch one day) like she's looking fondly at him. If you're not going to animated something like being surrounded by hearts, or having hearts in your character's eyes or whatever, one example is to have your character have a dreaming look, and that is often portayed by having his or her eyes half open (not sure about blinking) - that said I will check out the scene when I can.

Then don't do it.

Can't stop the signal.

reply

Not that it's a big deal, but it's pretty silly.

reply

I agree, it's just a little girl flirting.
