was there ever a vhs (video) that stared lerry lewis as Dr Dolittle? i am sure that it was him but i have not seen it in years.

No - Jerry Lewis never played Doctor Dolittle, only "The Nutty Professor". Wilfried

Even though this is 17 years late, I distinctly remember a movie with Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin and Jerry spoke to animals.
