I watched this movie last night on DVD and I have to say I rather liked it. The cast was great: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Sandy Dennis and George Segal were great in the cast. Unfortunately the last scene was sad when Richard Burton tells Elizabeth Taylor their son is deat.
shareI agree thank you for letting me know someone else saw it that way. In the original play (though I never saw it) from what I've read it's obvious the son is made up, but in the movie although most say the same thing & that the door bell was just bells Elizabeth Taylor ran into going upstairs but someone did come to the door and Richard Burton spoke to the person , Honey heard the conversation and watched him eat the telegram. So they did have a son who was killed that night I don't want to explain it all but that part if you are paying attention is true. Finally someone else saw the same as I did ty.
