Funniest Scene

The one I like the most is the scene where Mr and Mrs Piper come to tell the Fittons about Jenny and Arthur's problem.

Ezra (John Mills) is very funny in the scene where he is totally clueless when they try to explain what the problem is. Also great is when he talks about his best mate being along on his honeymoon with his wife. Mr Piper tries to get back on the subject at hand, but Mrs Piper tells him to shut up because she wants to hear more of Ezra's story! I thought the whole scene was hysterical.

What do you think of it,or what's your funniest scene?

I have to agree with you - the scene where both sets of parents interact whilst discussing the "problem" is excellent. I love the throwaway lines between John Mills and Marjorie Rhodes, when Mills finally catches on to what's happened - he says "Well, I don't know what to say" and his wife, passing behind him replies "I should keep my mouth shut if I were you then". Delicious.

Can I also mention the bit where Hayley Mills goes to visit her uncle (Wilfred Pickles, playing the part of a male Nurse/Physiotherapist. She throws her arms around him, and in tears she says "I'm still a virgin". He replies "Nay, lass, don't get in a state, there's many a girl round here would give good money to be able to say that".

All the dialogue between Marjorie Rhodes and John Mills had me laughing. So wonderful together.

It cracks me up when Ezra keeps saying “he walked through here like it was a public convenience”, much to the chagrin of his wife.
