Thank God for the spaghetti westerns. Until they came along, it seemed like TV and movies made in the USA had a blind spot to how people really looked during the period the project was set in.

I thank everyone involved in the projects for their service in the military when needed but it seemed like the GI Joe look was automatic and no thought was given to how people really may have looked. So many of the actors looked like they had just come from a military inspection. It it sometime hard to overlook that aspect when watching what otherwise is a good program. Such omissions would not be tolerated today so maybe we have made some progress.
