This is a great movie even if it is disjointed. Rod Taylor is excellent - an underrated actor I think - the George Clooney of his day perhaps.... and Maggie Smith is so brilliant in this. I am sure she and Rod had an affair - their chemistry is tangible and they both look gorgeous.

shareI enjoyed this film too and yes, Smith and Taylor continued their relationship, which began during filming of The V.I.P's two years previously. I'm not gossiping, by the way - it's mentioned in her authorised biography.
