Derek Flint vs. James Bond

Who would win in a fight? James is an expert with his Walther PPK and is a fairly proficient hand-to-hand fighter. Flint has his trusty lighter of 83 uses and has also been known to kick ass in a melee. Both are great at getting out of tight situations. Who would win?

Bond was fallible, and also just lucky at times. Flint is infallible. Bond might get lucky, but the odds are that Flint would prevail. But it would still be a good fight.

But, who did Flint kill that was remotely as formidable as any of the henchman Bond dispatched over the years? An aging Nazi in Hans Gruber? Please, he was no Red Grant or Odd Job and Flint had a lot of trouble with him to boot. Otherwise, it was just gofers and lackeys that Flint killed with the exception of Rodney, who was basically a soft blue blood.

Bond was was a stone cold liquidator; it was his job that he performed on a regular basis and nobody did it better and he was constantly called upon to take out the best of the best. Flint was supposed to be much more of an intellectual, so he is not as single-minded of purpose as Bond is. The matchup would be like a big game hunter against a chess player who hunts deer occasionally on the weekends. Plus, Flint's judo is no match for a bullet to the head.

Interesting that there's a Hans Gruber in this movie as well as in Die Hard!
