The characters speaking in German, Dutch, etc. throughout the film, rather than the oft-used device of a smattering of words in the foreign language, then reverting to English was a plus in my book, though Peppard didn't really sound as convincing as the other two agents, Courtenay and Kemp.
I suppose its a thorny issue for filmmakers; try to be authentic as possible when making pictures or stick to one language and rely on viewers' suspension of disbelief.
Definitely worthwhile if the actors can manage it without sounding ridiculous although Peppard is clearly struggling at times.I don`t know if Kemp is fluent in German but he seemed to handle it remarkably well.The first sequences of The Hunt For Red October had Sean Connery dabbling in a bit of Russian & then thankfully reverting to English.(good call that one!)I think Crossbow just about gets away with it here.

Most of the non-German actors speaking German sounded convincing, but Peppard had an obvious American accent. Even Sophia Loren's German sounded pretty good.
