When everyone in the theater stands and sings "I Saw the Light" did this really happen? I thought this was a great ending to a disappointing movie.

Yes. it did. I had posted before that it didn't happen, but I did some research on it and found out it was actually true.

I wasn't there so I don't know, but I do know that I was nine years old when Hank died and it was as if someone in our family had died. We heard the news over the radio and our house was like a funeral home for several days.

Thanks for asking this, b/c I had wondered if that had happened also - and hoped that it did, b/c it was a very touching & moving thing; as well as a nice tribute to Hank.
