I haven't heard of any DVD release, but you might get a copy off of this website: www.videodaikaiju.com. This website sells copies of the original Japanese sci-fi films with English sub-titles.

This movie along with 5 other showa Godzilla films are going to be released on September 5th in a box set including both the international dubbed versions plus the uncut japanese (with english subtitles) versions of each film, plus a 2-disc set of the original 1954 "Gojira" will be released the same day which will include Gojira as well as the Raymond Burr US cut "Godzilla:King kof the Monsters".

They won't have the international dubbing they will have the original US versions.

Pretty soon Video Daikaiju will be obsolete for most Godzilla films unless you can't get your hands on the Region 3 G'films.

The only ones I think it would be good for is:
03. King Kong Vs. Godzilla
13. Godzilla Vs. Megalon
15. Terror of Mechagodzilla
16. Godzilla 1985
17. Godzilla Vs. Biollante
18. Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah (Japanese Audio since Sony's DVD doesn't have it)
19. Godzilla Vs. Mothra (Same above)
21. Godzilla Vs. Spacegodzilla (See #18)
22. Godzilla Vs. Destoroyah (See #18)
23. Godzilla 2000: Millennium (See #18)

Godzilla vs. Megalon NEEDS to be released by Classic Media. They're good at getting their hands on rare movies and releasing them on excellent quality!

Just came out today along with Invasion of the Astro-Monster (aka Godzilla vs. Monster Zero). Awesome indeed. Now, if they can only release Godzilla vs. Megalon, Godzilla 1985, and Godzilla vs. Biollante I would have the full set.

and for those of you who are curious it does feature a true widescreen version of the film with the original US dub, Not an international dub (unless the international dub was the same as the US). I verified the dub as I have an old vhs tape for Ghidorah. The dubs are the same

As of this writing an excellent DVD has been released featuring both Japanese & american versions plus commentaies & extras at an affordable price.
