Did Elvis or Stanwyck ever comment on their working relationship on ROUSTABOUT? I would imagine that Elvis was awestruck by her and that she would have been incredibly helpful to him. Their scenes together are quite compelling. I did see a clip in an Elvis documentary of Elvis and Stanwyck and other celebs (Sinatra, I believe) at a charity event around the time of the making of this film.
I read in a book that he couldn't stand her, but the author offered no evidence whatsoever to back that claim up, so it's meaningless as far as I'm concerned.

I'm glad this had Stanwyck, I always liked her, a strong actress and beautiful too. I can't believe Mae West, who was initially approached, wanted to be Elvis' love interest. She was 42 years older than him and was about 71 when this came out.
