It was okay until.... (spoiler)

the kids are playing in the alley next to the jail. Geez, we know from the beginning that the town has a huge park. But the police let the kids play right under a jailhouse window where the prisoners can talk to them. Obviously it's a set up so Kelly can spot THE girl but come on, that was too dumb.

No..the leaves falling on them were the most terrible and cheesy thing - but I definitely didn't see THAT surprise coming. And no happy ending...That's why I kinda liked it.

Watching the movie I thought the exact same things mentioned here. I also enjoyed the end of the movie but I have to disagree too. I thought it was a happy ending because Kelly was vindicated.

What I'm glad did not happen was Griff and Kelly ending up together romantically. That would have been odd but that's kind of the standard fare of happy endings. The ending of the movie is, I'd say, triumphant. Kelly knows she can start over so we know she will prevail and won't go back to her former life.

If she had been convicted or if the townspeople still supported Grant in spite of his perversions and abuse of children merely because he had been wealthy, that would have been a bad, even tragic, ending to the movie.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]

She shouldn't have crossed the street like that at the end though. Even though it's a Hollywood set, use the crosswalk woman! ;)
