There is one thing that bugs me...I don't like so called fans of "Gilligan's Island" behaving rude, calling them on their flaws or on their kids like they did to Tina's daughter, Caprice.

Actually, the answer is that the Howell's pretty much play themselves in the dream, rich married couple and he has his teddy bear. And although it's been awhile, I think they addressed each other with the same names. However, since you mentioned the Howells first, I'll give it to you.

If you look on the world map behind Mr. Evil in his headquarters, you can see that there are spiders of various sizes drawn all over it - probably intended to indicate various E.V.I.L. headquarters, agents, or operations. It's a nice and subtle nod to S.P.E.C.T.R.E. in the Bond films.

[On The Man From U.N.C.L.E., the evil organization, THRUSH, had a bird (a "thrush") as its symbol. On Get Smart, the symbol of KAOS was a vulture perched atop a globe.]

The spiders are not real easy to see on DVD (I noticed them for the first time last week), so I suspect they were all but invisible when the episode was seen on analog TV's.
