sinatra

I just finished a book on the rat pack and according to the author (and I believe him) sinatra was impossible to deal with - made outrageous demands on shooting time and eventually just left before his scenes were completed - sinatra comes across as a petulant, egomaniacal bully

Yes apparently Robert Aldrich the director, found him more than a handful with which to deal. But he had to live with it, because Sinatra's production company was involved with backing the film.

This was later in Sinatra's movie career when he was always straining so hard to be cool and hip that it actually made him seem up-tight. In contrast, Martin was, as usual, very relaxed, which made his acting more naturalistic.
