Was Uncle Martins real name ever revealed?

Did Martin have a Martian name, and if so what was it?

reply

I vaguely remember him saying to Tim that his real name was unpronouncible by humans....

reply

Yes. Exiguous 12 and 1/2.

reply

I bet you are correct, spotter, but the IMDb write-up says "Exodus." Probably put there by some IMDb user who misheard Uncle Martin's actual name.

reply

Exiguous - very small in size or stature. Probably referred to Ray Walston's lean frame. Clever!

reply

IT IS Exigius 12-1/2 and it was mentioned in MORE than one show, including when Uncle Martin's nephew Andromeda (Andy) visited Earth in the 3rd season.

It was also mentioned in the Season 2 episode, We Love You, Miss Pringle

Real name: Exiguous 12 1/2
Home address: 23 Canal Fernold, Planet Mars

The odd thing is, even in complete privacy, Bill Bixby called him "Uncle Martin" referring to the relation made up in Episode One.

reply

Nothing odd about Tim addressing him as "Uncle Martin" even privately. The two did have much the same kind of relationship as an uncle / nephew or father / son.

reply

Probably the same reason Abraham always addressed Henry by his first name in Forever. You get used to calling him one name all the time so you don't slip up and call him the wrong thing in public.
