Question

I never watched this show but my college professor was a big fan. He told me that the Planet of the Apes and Incredible Hulk TV series were both mirror images of this show. Each episode featured the star or stars walking into a crisis where they have to use false identity because they are in hiding from authority, whether is was Urko or Mr McGee. Eventually the crisis is handled and they move on to another town or village. Was my college professor right as always or can I finally say he was wrong?
