'states in Canada'

I'm just watching it now and I had to laugh when the radio bulletin announced "states in Canada" have also been destroyed.

At least they didn't destroy the provinces. hehe

I think you mis-heard or misunderstood that line in the radio bulletin. Replay it and listen carefully. The audio of the radio broadcast came in midway through the sentence: the announcer was saying that [targets/large cities in] "...the United States and Canada have been attacked. Casualties are extremely heavy."

Hopefully that clears it up.

Hmm. I could have sworn it started with "states" and that it said "have also been attacked". But what you say would make more sense.

I just picked up this DVD from Walmart for 5 dollars today w/ Last Man on Earth... and came across the scene while watching it on my computer with the subtitles on . .. it is "...states and Canada have been attacked."

All of the EMERGENCY BEEPING during the radio announcements was annoying tho.
