Let me buy you a drink...blooper

I noticed the Virginian said to Trampass, " Let me buy you a drink."
But they are inside the bunk house!

Not a "blooper"; people often say that at home when offering someone a drink, in a tongue-in-cheek manner.

It's not even tongue-in-cheek. If you bought the bottle, and you then pour from it for someone else, you in fact "bought them a drink".
